Title: Preparing 21st century citizens of the world in the English classroom
We are going through times of change. Global problem such as the financial crisis, the refugee crisis and the rise of terrorism are making it imperative to promote as educators a change of focus in education. As teachers of English we are preparing our students to be parts of a global community. As such we should prepare them not only linguistically but also in terms of skills, attitudes, values and ethics.
